DEI's new 160X-series Surge Blocking MCM's provide active, Bi-Directional Lightning Surge Protection. They help to eliminate dependence upon large TVS diodes, providing space and weight savings over purely TVS protection. Proprietary SiC FET technology instantaneously increases impedance during a surge event, limiting current to safe levels.
The DEI1604 w/integral fuse meets Airbus A350XWB requirements while the DEI1606 is fuseless, featuring a smaller, 8L DFN package. Both are ideal for bi-directional lightning protection of device I/O lines throughout an aircraft. Both devices feature proprietary SiC FET technology with redundant design and wafer fabs.
The DEI1028 Voltage Clamping ASIC prevents damage to equipment connected to any 28VDC power bus. Featuring Soft Start and Programmable Undervoltage Lockout, it controls an external power P-FET to clamp transients to a maximum of 34 Volts.
